The Harding University Concert Choir has produced a 2-CD set of 36 hymns written by Fanny J. Crosby (Frances Jane). Fanny was born in NY on March 24, 1820. At age 6 weeks, she was blinded by a physician who foolishly applied a poultice to her eyes in an attempt to ward off her fever. She was blind her entire 95 years on earth. A number of her 8,000 hymns and Gospel songs speak of the day when we will "see" Him. While many of her hymns and songs are forgotten, over 30 remain popular in our hymnals today. Fanny died February 12, 1915 in Bridgeport CT.
These are CDs that when you can't get to church, you can play and sing along with them. These are songs you know like: Praise Him! Praise Him!, A Wonderful Savior, To the Work, Blessed Assurance, Nearer the Cross, Rescue the Perishing, Tell Me the Story of Jesus, Pass Me Not, To God Be the Glory, I Shall Know Him and 28 more.
